Why do I say this? 

Consider how the 2018 West Virginia Teachers' Strike #55strong inspired teachers all around our nation and people around the world. Additionally, there are many West Virginians who you may or may not know that have inspired our society. The purpose of this book is to shine a light on some of those West Virginians that have become highly successful in various fields and impacted our society.  Sadly, West Virginia for many years has been plagued with many stereotypes. They have been labeled as all being hillbillies, crazy, uneducated, and poor, which is far from the truth. 

In this first book, we intend to use representatives from West Virginia's 3.6% minority group to crush these stereotypes. The Diamonds of West Virginia is a photo essay book that will inspire West Virginia, our nation, and the world!
